One of the vital step those starting out in photography miss is, making a habit of backing up images. I am one of those who learned the hard way. Luckily I was learned then and not shooting for a client.
Now, the minute my CF cards come out of my camera, it’s backed up in 2 hard drives. At the end of every year, one will be kept separately safe. That’s almost 3-4TB of files every year, until now.
This year, by the end of June, my files reached almost 3TB so I bought this new external drive. Long story short, the drive I bought was defective internally and had to be returned. Now, I have a much smaller in size “WD 4TB Black My Passport” which isn’t just a portable size but is much faster than other hard drives I have used in the past.
So, if you are looking into buying a new external hard drive, This is what I recommend.
